Finishes - why we say NO to fully polished bars!
Disadvantages
They look “added on”, rather than part of the vehicle |
They take lots of maintenance to keep highly polished e.g. at least 2hrs every month, if the vehicle is used regularly
Not as easy/cheap to repair/repolish as customers are lead to believe
They do not necessarily best suit the customers needs, they do suit large bullbar manufacturers stock levels/process, as they fit any colour vehicle
As we only manufacture Subaru products, we can offer an unmatched combination of finishes, that specifically suit Subaru vehicles & your requirements
So what does Subaxtreme recommend then?
Subaxtremes unique “Premium finish” offers the best of both worlds - colour coded bumper section and highly polished tube work.

The bumper section of a bullbar is the part that looks “added on” as the original bumper was never polished, with Premium finish, we colour the bumper section of the bullbar to the original bumper colour.
The bumper section of a bullbar is also the hardest part of the bullbar to polish & keep polished, with a coloured finish there is no maintenance.
The tube section of the bullbar is our highly polished finish, as it is “added on” (vehicle never had it originally). There is no question , alloy tube always looks fantastic highly polished, and it is the easy part of a full polished bar to maintain and takes longer to loose its shine.
